In 1998, “opportunity” knocked on my door. While at a shopping mall, I randomly met a Realtor from RE/MAX. I learned she was in search of an Open House Associate. As a full-time MBA student, I had the flexibility to work weekends. We had lunch and talked about a variety of topics, including customer service, knowledge of the area, and financial background. For both of us, it was a perfect match.

In just a matter of weeks, I realized I loved it! Real estate combined the best aspects of helping people, finance, and problem solving. 

A few months later, I became a licensed REALTOR® in MD, DC, and VA. As a Buyer’s Agent, I helped with home inspections, market analysis, settlements, staging, home showings, etc. I always remember her lesson, “listen differently.” “Listen very, very carefully to people as they share their personal and professional goals” she told me. Then apply what I heard AND more importantly, apply what was unstated or implied into the buying or selling process.

A few years later, my wife Ashley, was expecting our first child. We now became buyers. We weren't just searching for a house, we were searching for the right home. 

Because of my blended background as an owner/builder, MBA in finance, and as a REALTOR®, I bring some unique perspectives to the home buying and home selling processes. This perspective enables me to negotiate from positions of strength and to work almost completely on referral.

If you are buying, I will only direct you to a home you will be able to re-sell easily and quickly down the road, say five to seven years. My clients fondly smile when I say, “I’m your REALTOR® for life.” Some families have bought and sold more than 10 times with me.
