Michael Ryan is a seasoned professional who has achieved consistent success in anything he has ever pursued. Prior to finding a love and passion for Real Estate, Michael worked at one of the largest Fortune 500 companies. He joined this company as an entry-level employee in his early 20s. During his 18-year career Michael was recognized as a "fast track" individual and he continued to climb the corporate ladder. Ultimately, Michael achieved a District Manager position, where he was responsible for 2 Billion Dollars of corporate revenue.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management. He has a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Stephen's Institute of Technology.
Michael originally obtained his Maryland Real Estate License in the mid-1980s while still employed at the Fortune 500 company. His motivation at the time was simply to obtain industry knowledge, and to represent himself during the sale and purchase of his own residences. While he also assisted family and close friends with their real estate needs, Michael was primarily focused on his responsibilities, and advancement, in the corporate world - but the seed was planted...
Michael found great personal satisfaction and joy in helping others achieve their “American Dream” of owning a home. He began to assess and compare the sense of achievement and worth offered by the two different careers. So, in 2003 he boldly decided to leave the lucrative corporate world behind to dedicate his talent and passion for Real Estate to a broader base of clients.
Because he was born in Washington D.C., and raised in the Southern Maryland suburbs, Michael is extremely knowledgeable in the Calvert, Charles, Prince George's, and St. Mary's County area. He has a strong reputation of professionalism and integrity and provides a high level of personal attention and customer service to his clients. Considered a "people person," his leadership and communication style have been keys to his success.
Michael believes that our purpose in life is to create strong relationships in every facet of our lives. His philosophy is that any other achievement will ultimately fade away, but a great relationship will last forever. Therefore, he doesn’t pursue achieving his clients buying or selling a home simply as a “transaction.” Rather, he dedicates himself to serve his clients before, during, and after each sale to build a trusting relationship. Michael understands he must earn your trust and respect with “how” he provides service.

Michael has a variety of interests outside of Real Estate. He is extremely proud of his family - his wife of 30+ years, and their three amazing adult children. He is a big fan of the Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins. He also loves boating in the waterways defining Southern Maryland and begins many days by completing the daily crossword puzzle.
